The TFalls Foundation Inc. is proud to share the significant progress made in improving the learning environment at Mt. Angels Comprehensive School. Through the generous support of donors, the dedication of the Foundation team, and close collaboration with county officials and the local community, several major infrastructure improvements have been successfully completed

.

These projects were designed to address the school’s growing enrollment, improve learning conditions, enhance sanitation facilities, and provide a safer and more supportive environment for students and staff.

Completed Project Milestones

Construction of Six New Classrooms

The Foundation has completed the construction of six new classrooms to help address the school’s increasing need for additional learning space. Due to limited available land, the project introduced a modern two-story classroom block, the first of its kind constructed by the TFalls Foundation Inc.

The innovative design allowed the school to maximize its available space while providing safe, quality classrooms for students. The construction was completed in close collaboration with county officials to ensure that the building met local safety requirements and construction standards.

New 20-Bathroom Block and Improved Water Supply

A new 20-bathroom facility has been completed to significantly improve sanitation services at the school. The new facilities were connected to the county sewer system and include water storage tanks to help ensure a reliable and continuous water supply.

This improvement represents a major step forward in providing students and staff with cleaner, safer, and more accessible sanitation facilities.

Repurposing the Former Social Hall into Classrooms

To create additional classroom space, the former social hall has been successfully repurposed and converted into classrooms. This transformation has allowed the school to better utilize its existing facilities while providing students with a more suitable learning environment.

As part of this renovation, the existing bathrooms within the building were renovated, making them safe and functional for student use and ensuring convenient access to sanitation facilities within the repurposed space.

Renovation of Staff Office and New Staff Facilities

The school’s administrative facilities have been improved by combining the former staff office and an adjacent old classroom to create a larger and more functional administrative block.

As part of this renovation, four new bathrooms were constructed for school staff, improving working conditions and providing dedicated facilities for teachers and administrators.

Relocation and Renovation of School Kitchen

The school kitchen has been relocated and upgraded to better support the needs of a growing school population. The previous kitchen was operating in a very limited space, making daily food preparation challenging.

The renovated kitchen provides a safer, more efficient, and more practical environment to support the school’s meal program.

Playground Development

The Foundation has also improved the school’s recreational space by developing a donated area of land into a usable playground. The donated space was previously prone to flooding and required significant groundwork.

The area was raised, leveled, and properly graded to create a safer and more accessible playground where students can participate in outdoor activities.

Next Phase: County Land Donation and Social Hall Construction

With these major improvements completed, the next phase of the project will focus on facilitating the county land donation process through the construction of a new social hall. This commitment is an important part of the partnership between the TFalls Foundation Inc. and the county and will further strengthen the school’s long-term development.

The Foundation remains committed to working with local partners to complete this next important milestone and continue supporting the growth and success of Mt. Angels Comprehensive School.

Upcoming Project Handover Celebration

The TFalls Foundation is excited to announce the upcoming Handover Celebration, which will take place on Tuesday, July 21, at 6:00 AM Eastern Time (ET).

During this special event, Board Chair David Kirkpatrick and Foundation President Charles Wangondu will join county officials, school leadership, community members, donors, and supporters to celebrate the completion of these transformative improvements.

The handover celebration will recognize the hard work, collaboration, and generosity that have made these achievements possible while highlighting the continued commitment of the TFalls Foundation to improving educational opportunities for students at Mt. Angels Comprehensive School.

The TFalls Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to all donors, partners, volunteers, contractors, county officials, and community members who have contributed to this journey. Together, we are creating a stronger foundation for learning and a brighter future for the students of Mt. Angels Comprehensive School.
