The TFalls Foundation is excited to announce that construction has officially begun on the Mt. Angels Comprehensive School Infrastructure Upgrade Project—the most ambitious initiative in the Foundation’s history. This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative journey that will ease overcrowding, expand critical facilities, and enhance the learning environment for the school’s more than 1,500 students.

A Day of Celebration and Unity

The groundbreaking ceremony drew an inspiring turnout from the entire school community. Parents, teachers, and local leaders gathered on-site to celebrate the start of the project, demonstrating how deeply this development resonates with everyone connected to the school.

In a powerful display of teamwork and commitment, parents and teachers joined hands to dig the first trenches for the foundations of the new bathroom block and the two-story classroom building. Their participation symbolized ownership, unity, and shared hope for the future of Mt. Angel Comprehensive School.

“Seeing our parents and teachers take part in the physical work is a reminder that this school belongs to all of us,” said Headteacher Liberata Mbatia, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the community and the TFalls Foundation.

High Spirits and Renewed Optimism

The atmosphere on the ground was filled with enthusiasm and optimism. Smiles, laughter, and determination could be seen across the field as the community took the first steps toward reshaping the school’s future.

Many parents shared that this project represents long-awaited progress—especially given the severe overcrowding and inadequate bathroom facilities that have affected students for years. Teachers expressed excitement about the improved learning spaces and the opportunities the new infrastructure will create.

A Transformative Project Begins

As construction gets underway, the project will deliver:

  • A 24-unit modern bathroom block

  • Six new classrooms in a space-efficient two-story building

  • An upgraded school kitchen

  • Repurposing of the county-donated social hall into classrooms

  • Reconstruction of a new social hall for the county, as part of the donation agreement

With a budget of $280,000–$300,000 and an estimated 10-month timeline, this expansion will dramatically improve daily school life for thousands of learners.

A Call to Support

While groundbreaking marks an exciting victory, additional funds are still needed to complete the project.

The TFalls Foundation invites supporters, donors, and well-wishers to join hands in bringing this life-changing project to completion.

Together, we are building a brighter, safer, and more dignified future for the children of Mt. Angels Comprehensive School.
