TFalls Foundation Celebrates the Seventh School Renovation at Mount Angel's Comprehensive School

Mount Angel's Comprehensive School came alive with music, dance, and gratitude as students, teachers, parents, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the commissioning of newly renovated facilities made possible by TFalls Foundation Inc. The day marked not just the completion of a building project, but the seventh school the Foundation has renovated since its founding — a milestone that filled the community, and the TFalls team, with emotion.
A Day of Celebration
The event opened with a brief moment of thanksgiving before giving way to a full day of celebration. Cultural performances brought the occasion to life: students performed traditional dances representing local communities, alongside an Indian classical dance, a lively Korean dance, and the Abagusii wedding dance from Western Kenya. A karate demonstration highlighted discipline, respect, and self-control, while the school choir and student poets added their own voices to a day rich with color, rhythm, and pride.
Commissioning the New Facilities
At the heart of the day was the official commissioning of Mount Angel's upgraded infrastructure, funded through TFalls Foundation Inc:
Washroom Facilities — modern, tiled washrooms with separate changing rooms for boys and girls, replacing outdated facilities and restoring dignity to daily school life.
Administration Block — a renovated office space accommodating more than 30 teachers, with dedicated staff washrooms, improving efficiency for school leadership.
Classroom Block — new, spacious, well-lit classrooms known as the George Wagura Memorial Block, named in honor of a late project foreman whose work helped bring the vision to life.
Kitchen Facilities — a fully renovated kitchen with marble countertops and anti-slip flooring, built to serve the school's more than 1,300 students.
Dignitaries including TFalls Foundation Board Chair David Kirkpatrick, TFalls President Charles Wang'ondu, TFalls Director Harrison, and Governor Joshua Irungu took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremonies, formally handing the new facilities over to the school community.
A Growing Community of Impact
What began as a single school renovation has become a movement. From Thiru Comprehensive School's handover in 2022 to today's celebration at Mount Angel's, TFalls Foundation Inc has now completed renovations at seven schools, improving hygiene, safety, and learning environments for thousands of students across Laikipia County.
Speeches throughout the day echoed a shared message: that education is a tool for opportunity, that the community's success is built on faith and teamwork, and that stewardship of these new facilities is now in the hands of the students and teachers who will use them every day.
As Mount Angel's Comprehensive School turns the page on this new chapter, TFalls Foundation Inc looks ahead to its next project — carrying forward the same partnership, generosity, and faith that brought this seventh school to life.
Remarks from Board Chair David Kirkpatrick
Foundation Board Chair David Kirkpatrick addressed the gathering separately with heartfelt reflections on the journey that brought TFalls Foundation Inc to this day.
He recalled that the Foundation grew out of a long friendship with Charles Wang'ondu, who had often spoken about his home community near Thomson Falls, Kenya, and one day shared a desire to give back — starting with the local primary school. That conversation led to the idea of formally establishing a foundation, and Charles took it from there, founding TFalls Foundation Inc.
David traced the Foundation's roots back to its very first project, Thiru Comprehensive School, whose renovation was launched at an event held at his own home. That first project took about three and a half years to complete, slowed in part by the COVID-19 pandemic, but its successful handover in 2022 became the spark for everything that followed — leading to a second school, and now, seven schools later, to Mount Angel's.
He took a moment to recognize the Foundation's team on the ground, singling out Harrison and Joseph, along with the wider TFalls staff, for their skill and dedication in bringing each project to completion.
Reflecting on the day itself, David admitted he had expected a modest half-hour handover — not the parades, dancing, and celebration the community gave him. He was visibly moved, and shared that Atlanta, Georgia, and the wider U.S. TFalls community continue to love Kenya and remain committed to renovating schools across Laikipia County and beyond. He noted that the hardest part of the Foundation's work now is deciding which school to help next, since resources allow the team to take on only one project at a time.
He closed by thanking the community on behalf of the entire TFalls team in Atlanta for an unforgettable day, and said he looks forward to returning to celebrate again soon.
